There is no helping relationship without mistakes. Yet, despite our awareness, mistakes often take us by surprise and can even annihilate us. Indeed, error, regardless of its objective magnitude, is a painful and extremely uncomfortable experience that we often try to deny and would like to distance ourselves from.
How can we instead integrate the inevitability of error into our lives so that it strengthens and enhances our professional identity?
Starting from the idea that imperfection and error can be gateways to personal, professional and trans-personal growth paths, we will explore how we can support our growth process through self-acceptance and self-compassion.
The workshop is divided as follows:
Day 1 - 20 February 2021
- Error in the Helping Relationship: objective or subjective experience?
- The fall of the gods: error, self-esteem and sense of self
- What are the strategies to build a unsuccessful helping relationship
Day 2 - 6 March 2021
- Becoming human: discovering one's human potential through error
- Self-compassion and Self-esteem while we experience failure
- The phoenix: strategies to be reborn after a mistake.
The workshop is designed to give participants the opportunity to attend even one of the two meetings. However, participation in both is highly recommended in order to fully appreciate the training experience.
